Hobbies

My personal mission statement: Begin with only the first step for the pilgrimage to prosperity. I play chess, raise a daughter, and thoroughly enjoy all outdoor activities. In particular, camping, hiking and getting lost in the woods. I am a board member of the nonprofit Beginner's Mind Chess, Inc. We help children and adults in the Arrowhead Region, including Wisconsin, learn and enjoy the game of chess. If not inside or enjoy the woods, you can find me belting tennis balls into Lake Superior for Rocky, my black lab, to fetch. It's not enough to throw the tennis ball. It must be launched via a baseball bat. Nothing short is worth the time.
